Borgo Santandrea
Amalfi Coast, Italy

Introduction

Perched high above the Mediterranean between Amalfi and Positano, Borgo Santandrea was born from the vision of two Italian families with generations of hospitality expertise. This former 1960s retreat has been lovingly transformed over four years into an extraordinary sanctuary. This is where Mid-Century design meets Mediterranean elegance, on the extraordinary location of Conca dei Marini, a serene, picturesque area offering a peaceful escape from its elevated position on the Amalfi Coast.

From the moment guests arrive, they will feel less like a guest in a hotel and more like a resident of an iconic Italian villa. Every detail tells a story: original Mid-Century pieces from the owners’ private collection, bespoke furniture crafted by Italy’s finest artisans, hand-painted ceramic tiles inspired by Italian modernism and lush gardens designed in harmony with the Amalfi Coast’s breathtaking terraces.

A vertical heaven

Rising 90 meters above sea level, Borgo Santandrea offers panoramic views from every angle. To make this vertical paradise effortless to explore, the resort is equipped with eight elevators, carrying guests smoothly from the sunlit terraces down to the private beach at the base of the cliff. Whether guests may be relaxing by the hotel’s expansive pool, enjoying an aperitivo on a panoramic terrace, or strolling along the shore, the sea is always their gorgeous backdrop.

Private beach and Mediterranean gardens

Borgo Santandrea is one of the very few properties on the Amalfi Coast to boast its own private beach, reserved exclusively for the hotel’s guests. Immaculate gardens and terraces with olive groves, lemon trees and aromatic plants create a dreamlike pathway connecting the hotel with the beach.

Located at the base of the cliff, this secluded haven can be reached either by a leisurely walk through the terraced gardens or by elevator directly from the hotel. Here, the Beach Club welcomes guests with every comfort, including sunbeds, umbrellas, towels, and a selection of water sports. The Beach Bar and Restaurant ensure that refreshments, light meals, and Mediterranean specialties are always within easy reach, while the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean provide the perfect setting for relaxation and recreation.
