Introduction
A new Borgo Pignano boutique hotel will open in Florence in Spring 2026: Borgo Pignano Florence, sharing the same spirit and sensibility as Borgo Pignano Tuscany.
Borgo Pignano Florence is a refined urban retreat hidden within twelve acres of private gardens and an olive grove, on the northern edge of Florence. It is designed as a cluster of eleven historic buildings, including a fully restored Fifteenth century villa and echoing the “borgo” (hamlet) model, creating a sense of seclusion despite its proximity to the city centre.
The property aims to balance being close to Florence’s attractions with an environment of calm and nature, where ‘time slows, nature leads, and every gesture feels personal’.
Accomodation
In terms of accommodation, Borgo Pignano Florence will feature 32 rooms and suites, and a secluded private villa with 5 bedrooms called Villa La Sosta.
Dining and hospitality
Dining and hospitality are key elements: the future Florence outpost will include two restaurants and two bars, providing a mix of indoor, terrace, and poolside dining settings. A Michelin-starred chef, Stefano Cavallini, will oversee the food vision, with menus honouring Tuscany’s culinary heritage while embracing refined innovation, with each dish crafted through precise technique, balanced flavours, and a respect for provenance that makes tradition feel timeless and new.
The promise is for all-day à la carte service, signature cocktails, and attentive service in an elegant environment. The venues will be open not only to guests but also to external visitors.
Wellness and sustainability
Wellness and amenities form an integral part of the experience. The property will feature a 30-metre heated outdoor pool, among the largest in Florence, spa and treatment rooms, fitness area, solarium, a jogging path, and landscaped grounds that offer privacy and immersion in nature.
Borgo Pignano’s new Florentine hotel will continue the Group’s commitment to sustainable practices. Ecologically sensitive materials will be used during the restoration and there will be an emphasis on a small energy footprint. Foods and wines will be sought mainly from the best small, local suppliers and will be served alongside Borgo Pignano’s own wines, olive oil, vinegars, pastas, and preserves.

Luciano Lusardi, Chairman of Borgo Pignano, said, “Our new hotel in Florence will bring the soul of the Italian countryside to the heart of Florence. Borgo Pignano Florence will embody the virtues visitors to Borgo Pignano Tuscany cherish: suites and rooms with character and charm; a commitment to sustainability and locally sourced foods; generous public spaces; indoor and outdoor swimming pools; wellness facilities; and modern technology.”
Borgo Pignano Florence will offer a suitable setting for group business meetings and corporate offsites and create the perfect backdrop for weddings. The hotel is less than a ten-minute ride from both Florence’s Peretola airport and the city’s intra-European train station, Stazione di Santa Maria Novella.
