Reconnected to the sea at Le Sirenuse Mare
In conversation with owners Antonio & Giulia Sersale
After so much anticipation, this summer finally saw the opening of Le Sirenuse Mare, a long-awaited new chapter for Le Sirenuse and the realisation of a much-loved dream. How has your first season at the beach club shaped the way guests experience Le Sirenuse, and what have you discovered from seeing them embrace this new connection with the sea?
Opening Le Sirenuse Mare has been an incredibly special moment for our family. It is, in many ways, the realisation of a dream we have carried for many years: the idea of creating a place by the sea, connected to Le Sirenuse yet with its own identity, had been part of our conversations and our vision for a very long time.
To finally see that dream come to life in 2026, the very year in which we celebrated Le Sirenuse’s 75th anniversary, has therefore been particularly meaningful and deeply emotional for all of us. From the very beginning, we wanted Mare to be more than simply a beach club; we wanted it to feel like a natural extension of the Le Sirenuse experience, allowing our guests to discover another side of the Amalfi Coast and experience the sea in a more intimate and relaxed way.
After 75 years of Le Sirenuse, Mare feels both like the beginning of a new chapter and, at the same time, like a return to our roots, to the sea, to the landscape and to the simple joy of being in this place.

Located in Nerano, surrounded by the dramatic landscape of the Sorrentine Peninsula and the beauty of the Bay of Nerano, Mare has its own rhythm and atmosphere: elegant but informal, relaxed and unhurried, with the feeling of spending a long summer day by the water with friends. Swimming, lingering over lunch, reading in the sun, watching the light change over the coast and simply allowing the beauty of the sea to set the pace are all part of the experience.
What has struck us most during this first season is how naturally our guests have embraced this new connection with the sea, perhaps even more than we had imagined. Guests who have known Le Sirenuse for many years have been able to discover a different dimension of their stay: beginning their day in Positano, travelling along the coast to Nerano, spending time by the water and then returning to Le Sirenuse in the evening. It has shown us just how much the sea has always been part of the soul of Le Sirenuse. Mare has not changed what Le Sirenuse is; rather, it has allowed us to express something that has always been there, but that we had never been able to offer in quite this way. For us, that has been the most beautiful part of the first season.
After 75 years of Le Sirenuse, Mare feels both like the beginning of a new chapter and, at the same time, like a return to our roots, to the sea, to the landscape and to the simple joy of being in this place.
