The Borgo

Borgo Santandrea is the realisation of the passion project of two Italian families with generations of hospitality experience between them. They radically transformed an existing 1960s hotel, an ambitious yet respectful restoration carried out over almost four years in order to create a unique environment where Mid-Century design meets Mediterranean style.

Key Features

The owners’ private collection of mid-century design pieces is complemented by the finest selection of Italian furniture, lighting, and fabrics. In many cases these have been custom-made for Borgo Santandrea.

The gardens have been designed to create a harmony with the native coastal landscapes, respecting the fascinating Amalfi Coast horticultural history of breath-taking terraces, allowing guests to discover the native plant species of the region.

Accessibility played a critical role in the whole project. The stunning 90m vertical height of Borgo Santandrea provides for exceptional views from every point of the resort. This required equally exceptional infrastructure that starts with 8 elevators, extending from the terrace at the top of the hotel to the private beach at the base of the cliff, ensuring all guests can enjoy every feature of Borgo Santandrea and effortlessly access almost every corner of this vertical heaven.
